Work Services and Prevocational Services
WESCO offers a variety of jobs through our work services program for individuals with disabilities. This service focuses on developing work skills by performing job tasks for contracted work. WESCO contracted work includes but is not limited to:
- Pallets, stakes
- Janitorial services
- Sorting, collating and stuffing
- Heat sealing
- Cutting punching
- Food preparation and serving
- Labeling and shredding
- Can and bottle sorting and counting
- Assembly work
This broad away of jobs for individuals with disabilities allows them to learn a variety of different skills that they could later use in community employment. It also gives them a greater opportunity to obtain specific job skills that are needed by employers in the Denison community.
Supported Employment
Supported Employment is a combination of community employment and ongoing support. Individuals with disabilities are engaged in paid work in an area business while receiving intensive training and ongoing support from
WESCO. School to Work
WESCO serves students from various school districts. These students may continue their education while learning work skills through WESCO's programs.
